Follow the steps at your own pace
- Open the customer list in the mobile app and choose customer import. Choose contacts with read permission, or select a file.
- Download and fill in a CSV or Excel template. Name and phone are required; email is optional. Use the headers name, phone and email. Format the phone column as text before entering international numbers with their country code. Do not use formulas.
- Choose a UTF-8 CSV or TXT file separated by commas, semicolons or tabs, or an XLSX workbook with one data sheet. Commas and line breaks inside CSV fields are supported with standard quoting. The limit is 2 MB and 1,000 records.
- Review the preview: total and valid records, errors and duplicates within the file, with a reason for each problem row. Nothing has been saved yet. Confirm importing the valid records only after reviewing them.
- Check the summary for saves or updates confirmed by the server, skipped rows, failures and unconfirmed results. Correct the file if needed and retry the remaining records; server duplicate prevention remains in place.
Frequently asked questions
How do I import phone contacts?
Use the mobile app and grant contacts permission. You can also import a supported CSV, TXT or XLSX file.
How do I preserve phone numbers?
Use an international number with its country code, for example +12025550123. In Excel, format the phone column as text first; numeric phone cells and formulas are rejected to prevent lost prefixes or precision.
What happens to duplicates or unconfirmed saves?
The preview detects duplicates within the file only. During saving, the server prevents duplicate phone numbers within the business. An unconfirmed result may already have been saved, so it is not a definite failure. You can retry with server duplicate prevention still in place.
